New HTC Rhyme a.k.a. HTC Bliss Release Date on Verizon, Specs and Features

The globe thought it was the HTC Bliss. But alas! It’s called Rhyme!  The new HTC Rhyme smart phone which was rumored as HTC Bliss on leaks on the web will soon be released on the shelves of Verizon. The new gadget is specifically made for female tech lovers.  The plum colored phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon with 1GHz Scorpion (single core) processor.  It runs on an Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread.

Display and Storage

The phone’s dimension is at 116.8 x 61 x 10.1 mm.  The screen size is set at 3.7 inches.  It has a 16M color S-LCD capacitive touchscreen with 400x800 pixels. The screen has multi-touch, light sensor and proximity sensor.  The HTC Rhyme has a 4GB internal memory.  It is also pre-installed 8GB microSD which can be expanded up to 32GB.

 Connectivity and Messaging Phone users may connect through the web through 3G and Wi-Fi.  Other connectivity features include Bluetooth v3.0 and USB (micoUSB v2.0).  Internet browsing on the phone supports HTML and Flash. Messaging can be through Email, Push Email, MMS, SMS and IM. Multimedia The HTC  Rhyme has a 5 megapixel primary camera installed in the rear.  A secondary 0.3 megapixel (VGA) camera, most specially dedicated for video-call is installed in the front.  The rear camera has 2592x1944 pixels.  It also features a LED flash with autofocus.  The camera has geo-tagging capability.  Video capture in its camcorder is set at a resolution of 1280x720 (720p HD).  The smartphone also has Radio for FM tuning.  Other multimedia features include you tube player, music player and video playback. Available Colors The HTC Rhyme is available in “lavender” color.  A silver colored Rhyme is also available as reports suggest. Other features The phone runs with the newest Sense UI 3.5.  It has sensors for Accelerometer and Compass.  The battery is Li-Ion 1600 mAh standard battery. Release date The phone is expected to hit the US through Verizon on September 29.  The phone will be released on European and Asian markets by October.
