iPad 2 Processor
One of the major hardware improvements of the
second-generation iPad is its new processor. Apple replaced the A4 processor and introduced the new A5 processor for the iPad 2. The Apple A5 Processor has a dual core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore CPU. It clocks at a speed of 1GHz. The speed though adjusts dynamically for power saving purposes.
It is expected that this processor will also be used on the next generation iPhone.
